Hone-Strop Hones a Variety of Shaped Blades
KLINGSPOR's self-adhering silicon carbide paper rolls can be used for a number of
different applications such as rubbing finishes and sharpening. When finishing with
Danish Oil for instance, this wet/dry paper can not only be used between each
coat, but can be used to rub in the oil itself. Working progressively through the
grit range, you will achieve the smoothest and deepest looking oil finish possible.
For sharpening, stick the abrasive to a flat surface, like glass, and simply treat
it like a sharpening stone. It's amazing how this will not only sharpen, but polish
your chisels and plane irons.

Sharpening Backer Plate
Unlike most sharpening stones, the Sharpening Backer
Plate, when used with our PSA abrasives, is large enough to
accommodate chisels and plane irons even when using the
largest guides. Measuring 18" x 6" x 3/4", the plate is large
enough to attach abrasives either along the length or width.
Depending on the tool being sharpened, multiple grits can be
attached at once.

Our 2 hone strops are unique because of the special rubber
like material used on the strop. This material eliminates the
inconsistencies of leather and will greatly outlast leather
strops. The strop surface can be renewed periodically
with a little detergent and water. Each strop is bound to a
wooden handle and has a round edge for honing the inside
of gouges and a 45 degree edge for the inside of V tools.

Diamond Hone
The sharpening process starts
with ordinary sandpaper. After
the sandpaper stage is completed, it's time for the
leather belts or sleeve. The first step is to apply
a little honing compound to the leather. Apply the
compound while the leather is not under power-this
will help conserve the compound. Once the cutting
edge is applied to the leather belt or sleeve, the tool
will be done in minutes.

Use this diamond hone to reshape mounted abrasive
points by lightly touching a rotating point to the diamond surface. It is also handy for hand smoothing
and shaping glass, metal, stone, bone and plastic as
well as touching up chisels and steel instruments. The

Flexcut Slip Strop
Flexcut Powerstrop - Easy Edge Maintenance
Maintain the edges of your carving tools and woodturning
tools with this great leather stropping wheel. Simply mount
it in your drill and you're ready to go. Nothing can put an
edge on your cutting tools better than a leather strop and
this one will bring it to razor sharpness. The deluxe kit
includes two stropping wheels - one is 3/4" wide and the
other is V shaped for sharpening of gouges, V gouges and
veining tools. Also included is a mandrel for each wheel
and a block of polishing compound. For best results, we
recommend the use the "Yellowstone" compound listed

The Flexcut Slip Strop is an economical way of maintaining the razor edge on carving tools. It has been specially
molded to allow for polishing and deburring the hard
to reach areas on the inside of V tools and gouges as
well as the outside edge bevels. Either side of the strop
can be used. Each Slip Strop comes with a mini-bar of
Flexgold polishing compound and detailed instructions.
