other quality oil resins to provide
a tough finish resistant to alcohol,
water and heat. Wood Finishing Oil
has a higher solids content, meaning
a higher lustre can be built up with

a higher resistance to marking for
moisture. It can also be manipulated
by buffing, after the oil has cured, to

combined with oil-based pigments to create wood stains.

Mahoney's Oil
100% Pure Filtered Walnut Oil and hardens
into a food safe satin finish for bowls, butcher
blocks, wood utensils, and other wood utility
ware. Also works great as a satin finish on
exotic woods and furniture in general! Wipe
on liberally with a soft cloth or paper towel or
immerse object in oil and let
soak for 5 minutes. Let harden for 24 hours and reapply
as desired. Unlike most store
bought walnut oils, this walnut
oil will harden creating a better
finish.
The final step for this food safe
process would be the application
of Mahoney's Oil Wax. A blend of beeswax, carnauba wax,
and walnut oil. This product creates a food safe satin sheen
for bowls, butcher blocks, wood utensils, and other wood
utility ware. Rub on liberally with soft cloth into wood grain.
Let sit for one hour. Buff off with soft cloth or buffing wheel.
Works best when applied over Mahoney's Utility Finish.
