Narex Brass Carving Mallet 18oz
This brass mallet just fits nicely in the hand and is a pleasure
to use. It can be used with a traditional grasp or cupped in
the hand for increased control for fine, detailed work. The
brass head is attached to the European Hornbeam handle
via a blind hole and does not incorporate a through hole as
other brass mallets.

Narex Small Bowl Adze
This traditional adze can
be used to scoop bowls, saddle
chair seats, shaping rafters, and hollow timbers. It
is designed to be used with 2 hands. The blade
is forged from Chrome Magnesium steel and
hardened to 55 HRc for excellent edge retention.
The handle is made from natural Ash. Comes
with a leather edge protector.

These butt chisels are made by
Narex of the Czech Republic and
are of exceptional quality. The blades
are made from fine-grained, nicely
tempered chrome-manganese steel and
hardened to 59 HRc. The blades take
and hold an excellent edge.
The blades are accurately ground and the sides
are ground at a sharp
bevel ending to a very narrow
landing on each side, providing
excellent sidewall clearance. They are
ground at a 25-degree bevel. Blades are
a full 1/4" thick toward the handle adding strength and making
them easier to control.
Handles are stained European Beech with a flat on the back
to prevent rolling off the bench. Blades have well-seated
heavy steel tangs and handle solid brass ferrules to withstand
vigorous mallet work.
