Your Morakniv Wood Carving knife is made in Sweden from
Laminated Steel - layers of high carbon steel where the core
is hardened to 59-60 HRC surrounded by a softer alloyed
steel layer. This steel is hot rolled which results in a strong
material but one that has a rougher surface finish. You may
see a natural roughness and some variation in color of the
blade surface. Your Morakniv will stay sharp and last a lifetime.

The Detail Knife has a very fine point for making the very
narrow cuts associated with detailing. Its straight 1-1/2"
blade can accommodate larger stock removal if needed.
The mini-detail knife has our smallest 3/4" straight blade. It
is made from ultra-thin material so as not to disturb adjacent
wood for very delicate cuts.
